Sometimes you find information in an article that's been cited from another author's work and you'd like to use it in your paper. You can use these quotes or paraphrases in your paper without having to find the original source.

The rules differ slightly depending on whether you're using APA or MLA style. Please check out Seneca's guides for a more detailed explanation and example:

  • APA rules for works quoted in another source
  • MLA rules for works quoted in another source
